American Camp Association
The American Camp Association (formerly known as the American Camping Association) is a community of camp professionals who, for nearly 100 years, have joined together to share our knowledge and experience and to ensure the quality of camp programs. Because of our diverse 7,000 plus membership and our exceptional programs, children and adults have the opportunity to learn powerful lessons in community, character-building, skill development, and healthy living — lessons that can be learned nowhere else.
Everdale
We tailor our current curriculum programs for day camps and for urban youth groups, accommodating different ages, cultures and special needs. Since 1997, Everdale has been offering young people of all ages an opportunity to learn about food, farming, eco-energy and the region in which they live. Our very first crop, a field of garlic, was planted by 'street kids' from Toronto through FoodShare's 'Just Grow It' program. We currently host summer camp and youth groups all summer long. We offer the entire Curriculum Alive! Program and we will tailor it to suit your group’s needs.
Hidden Villa
This five-day overnight camp is especially designed for younger campers coming to a sleepaway camp for the first time. Junior Resident Camp offers all the excitement of our Resident Camp in a shorter period of time. Participants will enjoy arts and crafts, swimming, camp fires, hiking on our trails, and gardening in our organic gardens designed for them and their newfound friends. A special emphasis is placed on respecting and caring for each other in everyday camp life. At the end of the five-day session, participants take with them valuable lessons about the environment, friendship, and an appreciation for natural and human beauty. Staff are especially selected for their willingness and passion to take care of this age group. Junior Resident Camp is a natural transition from our Day Camp to our Residential Programs
