The sacred bird, reminiscent of both an eagle and a heron, has lived on Earth for thousands of years. This beautiful creation is known in the world under different names: Bennu, Huma, Garuda, and others. Despite the many names, the mighty creature in every country and religion symbolizes the thirst for life, the power of faith and the imperishability of the soul. In Greek mythology, a phoenix is a bird that is associated with the Sun and obtains new life by arising from the ashes of its predecessor. In Slavic mythology, the Phoenix has two forms: the Firebird and Finist the Falcon. They both die with the onset of cold weather. However, with the advent of spring, they resurrect again. In Islam, the Phoenix is a male bird. When the time comes, the eastern Phoenix produces fire from a tree with a beak and falls into it voluntary to acquire an offspring. In China, Fenghuang (the Phoenix) is known as the second of four legendary sacred animals endowed with spirituality and combining Yin and Yang. His body symbolizes the five human values: head - virtue, wings - duty, back - correct behavior during rituals, chest - humanity, belly - reliability. Since then, the Phoenix has appeared in literature, movies, and even in fashion events. Edith Nesbit described the friendship of the Phoenix with children in her novel The Phoenix and the Carpet. Sylvia Plath mentioned the Phoenix in her poem Lady Lazarus. Fawkes was a highly intelligent phoenix and Dumbledore's defender in the Harry Potter series.
